So, all things being equal . . .

OK, so this is one of our favorite topics, and yes, we are a bit biased, but for good reason. And, we’re not the only ones who prefer aspects of our network visibility portfolio to the Gigamon approach. As you’ll see throughout, we’ve published a bunch of “competitive takeout” blogs and case studies that recount why many customers chose us or made the switch when the time came to upgrade.

We’ve also seen channel partners—integrators who need to sell both solutions to accommodate customers—switch to recommend Keysight network visibility solutions first because their performance, ease of deployment and operation, and ultimate ROI advantages.

Let’s start with the new stuff . . .

Progressive Visibility Portfolio Meets the Needs of 400G

Keysight garnered acclaim from Frost & Sullivan in 2024 for our innovation in the visibility space, specifically with our Vision E400S and other next-generation 400G-capable packet brokers. The solutions feature comprehensive edge and core feature sets to meet customers’ fast-evolving network visibility needs as they modernize and expand their hybrid networks.

The Vision E400S and 400 solutions support a wide range of interfaces (10G/25G/40G/50G/100G, native or fan-out) in addition to 200G/400G which supports coexistence and seamless migration to higher speeds. These devices perform all the critical functions of a high-powered packet brokers – aggregation, filtering, load-balancing, deduplication, etc.—all at the same time. That means when you need it, you’ll have it. As far as we know, Gigamon’s 400G-capable NPBs only supports basic aggregation-layer functions.

Keysight Offers the Broadest Portfolio of Taps, too

This one is widely acknowledged throughout the industry (but we’ll say it again anyway). Keysight offers the widest range of TAPs used to access traffic directly from any network or cloud. Our portfolio includes a wide range of passive/active TAPs including industrial-grade fiber and copper TAPs, fiber TAPs optimized for lower-latency applications, purpose-built TAPs with enhanced security for sensitive applications, Cisco BiDi, and virtual TAPs for any public or private environment.

Keysight network TAPs come in a wide range of port densities and speeds ranging from 1G to 400G and we deliver the highest density and greatest modularity with up to 36 TAPs operating in a single 19-inch 1U rack space.

Specialized Solutions Excel in Specialized Industries

Keysight delivers complete visibility in Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Internet of Things (IoT), and operational technology (OT) environments. Industrial-grade fiber and copper TAPs and an Industrial Packet Aggregator satisfy the needs of harsh environments and stringent certification requirements.

We also offer specialized solutions tailored to the unique challenges that financial services firms, brokers, traders and exchanges all face. Our TradeVision solutions deliver market feed monitoring and tap aggregation for capital markets. TradeVision includes the TradeStack Software Suite that equips traders with complete, accurate market feed data, detects gaps in data, and automatically forwards alerts to monitoring tools for fast resolution.
